SCREENFX ACADEMY® provides one-week summer camps for those who wish to learn the arts of acting and filmmaking for broadcast and film. Students, ages 8 - 18, will improve their self confidence and develop their creative thinking skills as they learn in a fun and high-tech atmosphere, all about the world of broadcast and film. SCREENFX ACADEMY® combines cutting-edge techniques with cutting-edge technology!

Our teachers and coaches, all working professionals themselves, work to create a fun and exciting experience with emphasis on immersive learning… putting learners in front of and behind the camera right away. SCREENFX ACADEMY® helps learners to "get noticed" by exposing them to the production of a working television show aired weekly beginning in the fall of 2012. This show, "Behind the Screens" is produced and cast by the students themselves while working alongside television and filmmaking professionals. Students attending summer camps will be involved in the production of "Summer Camp Experience 2012" to be seen on the web.

All camps include instruction and participation in our Makeup, Costume and Prop Departments.

All camps meet Monday through Friday for one of two sessions (Morning: 9am to Noon) or (Afternoon: 1pm - 4pm).

All classes are held at our SCREENFX ACADEMY® West Plano location, 6505 West Park Blvd, Suite 155, Plano, TX 75093-6286.

Maximum Camp Size – 15 Students

Minimum Camp Size – 5 to 7 Students
